MEET THE EXECUTIVE BOARD
ANTHONY CASILLAS
PRESIDENT
Anthony Casillas is the President of The Public Relations Student Society of America here at California State University Dominguez Hills while studying Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising. After joining PRSSA, Anthony was introduced to many different like-minded contacts, both students and professionals, and opportunities that really opened up doors in networking and professional experiences that really got him excited to continue the legacy and vitality of a continued tradition with the organization.
Anthony was born and raised in Los Angeles and before transferring to CSUDH was involved in running music collectives and warehouse events for underground club music all around Los Angeles. He aspires to be a well rounded producer and lead a respectable L.A. based record label that in hopes will reach an international audience that will maintain the underground club music scene that struggles to survive. Anthony is beyond grateful for the amateur lessons learned while operating the music collectives and parties because it prepared him for the relative curriculum that we have in the fields of Public Relations and Advertising.
When Anthony is not at school he works part-time for the City of Long Beach as a Senior Guard at the Belmont Plaza Pool Olympic Facility. Anthony loves writing and producing dance music which fills up the majority of his spare time if he is not working with his team to continue building the foundations for a new house music label called Elated Container Group. After graduation, furthermore from working in the PR and Advertising field, he hopes to launch this vinyl only label by the end of this year with his and his friends’ featured music in order to share with people across the world.
However, all these things do not slow down Anthony’s hunger to lead a strong group of professionals from all fields into a place where we can facilitate improving ourselves, our own personal brand and our professional career. When first joining PRSSA, Anthony had no idea what opportunities lay ahead and now, fast forward, as the acting chapter President, he has experienced more and will experience more in these two years at CSUDH than any other previous organizations.

MICHELLE GARCIA
TREASURER
Michelle Garcia is a senior at California State University Dominguez Hills majoring in Public Relations/Advertising. She transferred here from El Camino Community College where she earned her AA in Communications after two years. In her first semester at CSUDH she joined the Public Relations Student Society of America looking for a group of students to share both her eagerness to learn, and her aspiration of becoming a public relations professional. She is currently the Treasurer of CSUDH-PRSSA. As Treasurer, her main goal is to create and maintain lasting relationships with sponsors in the community around the campus.
She looks most forward to internship opportunities that will open up this senior year. She values the hands on experience and is prepared in part by all of what PRSSA has offered her in her membership. After earning her Bachelor’s degree from CSUDH, Michelle plans on continuing her education to obtain a Master’s degree, specializing in strategies in PR for small businesses.
Outside of school, Michelle likes to teach herself recipes online, go to concerts, and learn about astronomy. On rare occasions she hikes to collect insects where she learned to do so in a last minute addition of an entomology class.

BREANNA SERAFIN
DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP SERVICES
Breanna Serafin is the Director of Membership Services for the California State University Dominguez Hills Public Relations Student Society of America chapter. Upon choosing her major of Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations, Breanna explored all of the options CSUDH had to offer to gain more experience in her major. She found the best opportunities were given through PRSSA and has since found that she has learned so much from a hands on perspective as well as making lasting relationships within the Association. PRSSA has helped Breanna understand the many different aspects in the field of Public Relations and has encouraged her to be bold and jump on opportunities that are presented. After graduation, Breanna will be working for a crop management company in Perris, CA in their Public Relations department, as well as getting married in October. Breanna took a slower route getting through school, but is so happy she took her time to find a major and career that she loves and looks forward to doing every day. Since returning to school in 2017, Breanna has also been involved with volunteer work in managing social media for Carson Cats Rescue, the only rescue who dedicates their time to exclusively saving cats from the high kill Carson animal shelter. Currently, her days are filled with the crop management company, the cat rescue, wedding planning, and finishing school- an exciting time in her life. SUSANA GOMEZ
DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Susana Gomez is the Director of social media for the Public Relations Student Society of America. She is about to embark in her last year at California State Dominguez Hills as a communication major with an emphasis in Public Relations/ Advertising. Her love for communicating with others, helping her community, spreading awareness and event planning ignited her interest to peruse a career in PR. She hopes to obtain a job after graduation where she may make an impact by using the knowledge she acquires throughout her time at CSUDH and PRSSA. SUZANNE JARQUIN
PRSSA LIAISON
Suzanne Jarquin is the PRSSA Liaison for the Public Relations Student Society of America at CSUDH. As a Public Relations major, Suzanne joined PRSSA in the fall of 2017 and has found PRSSA to be an invaluable asset to her college education and career path. In addition to being a full-time student with honors, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her high school sweetheart and husband of 11 years and their 3 beautiful young girls. Together, they enjoy traveling and exploring new places and spending time outdoors. Suzanne has demonstrated her passion of serving others in the past by leading her oldest daughter’s Girl Scout Leader for 3 years, volunteering over 120 hours of service, and currently by volunteering with various non-profit organizations in the Los Angeles area. After she graduates in the spring of 2019, she plans to look for work in the communications department with a non-profit organization so that she can continue to give back to her community and help others. DORIAM ROMERO
VICE PRESIDENT
Doriam Romero is the Vice President for Public Relations Student Society of America, California State University, Dominguez Hills chapter for the 2018/2019 school year. Doriam is a senior pursuing her Bachelor's in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising.
Doriam was born and raised in Indio, CA she was a transfer student from College of the Desert. Joining PRSSA has opened the door to many opportunities, given her hands on experience and has helped build her network. Doriam is currently the Public Relations Intern for Lauren Berger (Intern Queen), she previously interned at a non-profit organization Baby2Baby as the Community Engagement Intern and has been the Social Media Intern for ASI.Doriam enjoys exploring Los Angeles and attending concerts. JARED CRUZ
SECRETARY
Jared Cruz is the Secretary for the Public Relations Student Society of America. He is approaching his second year as an active member of the executive board. His major is communications with an emphasis on public relations and advertising. Jared is a transfer student from Los Angeles Harbor College. He set a goal to get more involved once he began attending Dominguez Hills, which led him to joining PRSSA and The One Club. These organizations have provided Jared with many opportunities of gaining insight and networking with professionals in the industry. Jared has attended agency tours at Team One, NBC Universal, Dodger Stadium, and Deutsch. While balancing a full time work and school schedule, Jared is the host of his own radio show on campus in the KDHR radio station. His show is called the E.A.T (Entertainment and Talent) Radio Show. He enjoys talking and meeting new people while learning of their backgrounds and talents. This led him to pursue his degree in communications, he considers himself to be a connector. Jared landed his first internship this past summer on campus within student affairs. He was the Communications intern in the Enrollment Management department. After graduation Jared hopes to enter the communications field of sports, entertainment, or media. He enjoys consuming media, going to festivals, and attending sporting events. His goal is to be a part of the “behind-the-scenes” creatives in these categories. He is open to agency and corporate positions, he wishes to obtain a position where he can express himself and be creative.

CARLOS PINEDA
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Carlos Pineda is the Director of Social Media and Editor in Chief of the PRSSA chapter at California State University, Dominguez Hills. As a senior at CSUDH, Carlos is working towards his Bachelors in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising. He joined PRSSA to grow in the field and gain experience as a PR practitioner. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he has a passion for entertainment and fashion which he will pursue after graduating. During the summer he interned at Dude. Be Nice. an apparel and media company where he gained experience managing social media platforms, planning events, and working with influencers. As Director of Social Media for PRSSA he hopes to use all platforms to work closely with members and students at CSUDH sharing valuable information and keeping up with current events around the community.

STEPHANIE ESPINOSA
TORO TACTICS FIRM DIRECTOR
Stephanie Espinosa is the Public Relations Director for the student-run firm Toro Tactics. She wanted to be part of PRSSA to gain real-world experience to be part a professional organization that networks and are nationally recognized in the industry. Stephanie is currently a senior majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Public relations and Advertising with a minor in Marketing. In addition, she holds 3 associate degrees in Communications, Social & Behavioral Science, and Humanities. She currently works at the Internet radio station KDHR running the social media and events. Last year she volunteered a full school year with a national non-profit to teach high school health education to underserved schools in urban neighborhoods. MARIA JANET GOMEZ
COMMITTEE COORDINATOR
MJ Gomez Aka Maria Janet is a Senior at Cal State Dominguez Hills and the Committee Coordinator for the Public Relations Student Society of America. MJ is a communications major and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising. She transferred from El Camino College fall of 2017 and joined PRSSA summer of 2018 after hearing about it through a friend. She was excited to be a part of a club she had heard great things of and even more excited to be in a position where her ideas and marketing skills could help execute any plan. MJ works full time as a Customer Service Supervisor and has the patience and attitude to deal with so many different people. Her job duties also require for her to manage and execute fundraisers, book signings, and product launches. She’s excited and looking forward to using her work experience with PRSSA and learning and gaining knowledge that will help her after she graduates. MJ’s goal is to land a job at an advertising agency just before graduating and seeing where that takes her. She has the passion and energy for life and she is ready for the next big challenge.
